Polytechnique Montréal

Polytechnique Montréal is a French-language engineering school founded in 1873, affiliated with the Université de Montréal and sharing its campus on Mount Royal. It is one of the oldest and largest engineering schools in Canada and the leading French-language one, with substantial research activity across mining, mineral, chemical, civil and aerospace engineering. Mining and mineral engineering deserve particular attention from a Kazakh applicant. Kazakhstan is a major mining economy, and Polytechnique's provision in that field is among the strongest in Canada. Aerospace is a further connection, given Montreal's position as a global aerospace centre and Kazakhstan's own space sector. The gate is French. Teaching is in French throughout, at Quebec's lower international rate.
