Seneca Polytechnic

Seneca Polytechnic in Toronto was founded in 1967 as Seneca College and took its present name in 2024. Both names appear in guidance and refer to the same institution. It is frequently described as a common route for Kazakh students, usually through diploma-to-degree pathways. That description is now out of date in one important respect, and the entry requirements should be read before anything else on the page. Since November 2024 college diploma graduates face a work permit field-of-study screen that college degree graduates do not. Business and management diplomas, among the most popular programmes international students took, are reported to have fallen outside it. Seneca's bachelor's degrees are not subject to that restriction. Where it offers both a diploma and a degree in a subject, the choice between them now determines what the qualification leads to rather than only what it teaches.
