Aston University

Aston is a research university in central Birmingham, built around professional and placement-based education. Integrated placement years are a defining feature of its degrees rather than an option at the margins, which for a Kazakh student means British work experience inside the course rather than something to be arranged separately afterwards. Birmingham is England's second city, with living costs well below London and the south-east and good international air links — a practical point for a student travelling home.
