Buckinghamshire New University

Buckinghamshire New University teaches across campuses at High Wycombe, Uxbridge and Aylesbury, with subjects including business, computing, nursing and health, aviation, policing, music and performance, and the creative industries. Its Vice Chancellor's International Student Scholarship is a one-off reduction of GBP 1,500, GBP 3,000 or GBP 5,000 on the first year. Read the shape as well as the size: a one-off award reduces a three-year degree once, where Bedfordshire's annual award reduces it three times. Two conditions narrow it. The applicant must be self-funded, which would exclude a Bolashak scholar. And the tuition fee charged must be at least GBP 15,000 — an unusual condition, since it makes the award unavailable on cheaper programmes rather than more generous on them. The Uxbridge campus sits inside Greater London, so a course there carries the London maintenance requirement of GBP 13,761 rather than GBP 10,539. High Wycombe and Aylesbury do not. That is GBP 3,222 a year, and it turns on which campus the course runs at. Buckinghamshire New has been ranked first in England for student satisfaction and first in the UK for its students' union in the National Student Survey.
