Durham University

Durham University is a collegiate public research university in the north-east of England. Its fee pages are more candid than most about what an international student is signing up to over three years. Durham states that for students starting in 2025/26 and later, 'fees will be subject to an annual inflationary increase and are expected to rise throughout the programme of study', and that 'the fee listed on the course database is for the first year of the course only'. It then names the ceiling: fees 'will rise annually by up to the higher of 6%, or the latest annual percentage increase in the Consumer Prices Index'. A family reading only the advertised first -year fee is reading the smallest of the three or four numbers they will actually pay.
