Kingston University

Kingston University is a public university in south-west London, teaching art and design through Kingston School of Art, alongside business, computing, engineering, health and the humanities. Its International Success Support Scholarship gives GBP 2,500 a year towards tuition for up to three years — GBP 7,500 in total — applied automatically to eligible international students starting in September 2026. An award that recurs and requires no application is worth more than a larger competitive one paid once. Kingston sits inside Greater London, so the Home Office maintenance figure is GBP 1,529 a month rather than GBP 1,171 — GBP 13,761 over nine months against GBP 10,539, a difference of GBP 3,222 a year to evidence. But Kingston upon Thames is at the outer edge of the city, where rents fall well below central London. The sum a student must prove they hold is therefore likely to exceed what they actually spend, which is the reverse of the position at a central London institution. Kingston School of Art is substantial, with a long-established reputation in illustration, product and graphic design.
