London South Bank University is a public university in Southwark, central London, teaching engineering, the built environment, business, health and social care, and applied sciences. Its international awards are tied to a payment deadline rather than to academic merit. The Future Global Graduate Awards are given as a tuition fee discount on acceptance of the offer and receipt of the deposit by a set deadline, and a student may accept only one of them. That structure rewards deciding early and having money ready. A student who accepts late, or whose international transfer clears after the deadline, appears to lose the discount whatever their grades — which makes the date, not the grade, the thing to plan around. On increases, London South Bank publishes the tightest ceiling found so far: fees are reviewed annually and it reserves the right to increase them in line with the RPIX measure of inflation up to 4 per cent. That is below SOAS and Portsmouth at 5%, Royal Holloway at 7.5% and Queen Mary at 10%, and it is a genuine cap where Brighton's wording is not.
