Manchester Metropolitan University

Manchester Metropolitan is one of the largest universities in Britain, known for art and design through the Manchester School of Art — among the oldest in the country — alongside business, education, health, law and the sciences. It is a separate institution from the University of Manchester, and for a Kazakh applicant the distinction is unusually consequential. The University of Manchester publishes a Kazakhstan page: it accepts the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools certificate for direct entry, requires 4.0 out of 5.0 including maths and physics for its integrated foundation year, and states that only A-levels or the International Baccalaureate will be considered for medicine or dentistry. None of those positions belongs to Manchester Metropolitan, whose own terms are not published. Manchester has excellent international air links, which matters for a student travelling home.
