Queen's University Belfast is a public research university in Northern Ireland, and it publishes an unusually complete Kazakhstan page, setting out four routes with grades attached. The attestat route: 'The Certificate of Completed Secondary Education (Attestat), with an average of 4 (and a minimum of 4 in relevant subjects), plus successful completion of either a recognised Foundation programme with good grades, or successful completion of at least one year of a Bachelor degree (Bakalavr) or Specialist Diploma in Kazakhstan with a minimum grade of 4.0 out of 5.0 (for Stage 1 entry).' The NIS route: 'NIS (Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools) Grade 12 Certificate (when completed at a Nazarbayev Intellectual School), to include three Advanced level subjects (comparable to A-levels on a subject-for-subject basis).' Queen's asks for three Advanced level subjects, where Warwick asks for two Advanced Electives plus Advanced Mathematics. The requirement is similar in substance, but a certificate is worth checking against the exact wording. The IB route: 'Between 30 and 36 points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma.'
