Berklee is a private music college in Boston, encompassing both Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. The audition is the decision and also the money: 'International students studying in the United States are eligible for merit-based scholarships through the admissions and audition process for Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee.' Berklee is clear that 'entering international students are not considered for need-based institutional aid', but unusually that changes after the first year: international students 'who wish to be considered for the Thrive Scholarship after their second semester of enrollment are strongly encouraged to submit the CSS Profile using Berklee's school code: 3107.' Full-tuition awards exist for 'exceptionally qualified applicants', and the Presidential Scholarship covers tuition, housing, meals and more.
