Cleveland State University

Cleveland State is a public research university in downtown Cleveland offering more than 175 majors and minors across 200-plus programmes, with partnerships including the Cleveland Clinic and NASA, and what it describes as one of Ohio's lowest tuitions. Its price protection is unusually broad: 'First-time undergraduate students can take advantage of the CSU Guarantee, which locks in tuition, meal plan and residence hall rates for four years', covering housing and food as well as tuition, where BGSU's equivalent locks tuition alone. One structural feature matters for a Kazakh applicant: international undergraduate admission runs partly through Cleveland State Global, a collaboration with the private pathway provider Shorelight, where 'final tuition is based on your enrollment track'. Scholarships are allocated by academic college rather than centrally.
