Oregon State University

Oregon State is Oregon's public land-grant research university at Corvallis. Its scholarship structure has one condition a Kazakh applicant must understand before anything else, and Oregon State states it twice on separate pages: 'All OSU scholarships require a non-resident tuition status.' The awards are therefore designed to offset the non-resident premium and are forfeited if a student ever becomes an Oregon resident for tuition purposes. Consideration is mixed rather than uniform: 'Some of the scholarships listed will be automatically considered for every new OSU application, but many scholarships require the student to find and apply independently.' Oregon State maintains a scholarship management system, ScholarDollars, which filters awards 'based on your immigration status, GPA and more', an unusually direct tool for a non-citizen applicant. All INTO OSU scholarships are non-renewable.
