Public state-related research university
$45 768 (2026/27)
Temple admitted 86% of applicants and 72% of international applicants for Fall 2025, which makes it unusually accessible, and it is one of the few US universities with no Early Decision plan at all. The sole early route is non-binding Early Action, so a Kazakh applicant is never asked to commit before seeing the money. Tuition is set per school and the spread is wide: USD 36,600 for the College of Liberal Arts against USD 45,768 for the Fox School of Business, a difference of over USD 9,000 a year decided by which school an applicant enters. The Bridge Program is the structurally unusual piece. Applicants whose English falls into a defined lower band are still fully admitted to the university, take twelve credits in their first semester alongside support studios, and keep any merit scholarship they earned, rather than being diverted into a pre-sessional year. Temple also runs first-year entry through its own campuses in Rome and Tokyo, with transfer to Philadelphia afterwards. Business, health professions and media and communication dominate the degrees conferred; engineering is small at 3%.
