The University of Louisville is a public research university in Kentucky's largest city, serving students from more than 83 countries. Its English waiver is unusually accessible — two consecutive years at any English-medium secondary school with a grade of C or better in English, with no country restriction — and it publishes both TOEFL scales clearly. Two points bear directly on a Bolashak scholar and point in opposite directions. UofL explicitly accommodates government sponsorship in its financial documentation, asking for 'an original letter from the sponsor stating the amount and duration of the scholarship'. But its own international scholarship 'cannot be combined with other scholarships (internal or external) and awards offered by UofL', so a sponsored student would forfeit it. The scholarship application is part of the admission application, requiring no separate form.
