The University of San Francisco is a private Jesuit, Catholic university, and it publishes something few institutions do: a hard, forward-dated certification of finances figure. USF states: '2027–2028 Certification of Finances: USD 94,692. If you're intending to study on an F-1 or J-1 visa, you will be required to complete a USF Certification of Finances that shows your ability to pay for your first year at USF.' That is the exact sum a Kazakh family must evidence. USF is equally direct about the limits of its funding: 'Unfortunately, USF does not offer full tuition scholarships for international students, and international students are not eligible for need-based financial aid.' Merit scholarships exist but 'can only be applied to tuition', and students entering through USF's language or Fresh Start pathways fall under a different award process.
