USF is a large public research university in Tampa with over 48,700 students from more than 146 countries. Its international funding operates entirely through out-of-state tuition reduction waivers, awarded automatically to admitted first-year students with no separate application, and USF publishes their limits with unusual precision. The waivers 'only apply toward out-of-state tuition' and 'cannot be used toward other cost of attendance expenses (housing, meals, books)'. They pay less if a student enrols in fewer credits. And they cannot be stacked with any other tuition-waiver scholarship, 'since both scholarships waive the same portion of non-resident tuition'. The date that governs the money is 15 January. The Green and Gold Scholars Waiver Award is published at roughly USD 20,000 over four years, or up to USD 5,000 a year.
