University of International Business and Economics

The University of International Business and Economics was founded in 1951 as the Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade and remains China's leading specialist institution for international trade, business and economics. It is administered jointly by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Commerce. It holds a distinction no other Chinese finance and economics university does: accreditation by EQUIS, AACSB, CAMEA and AMBA. Quadruple accreditation of that kind is held by a small number of business schools worldwide and is the clearest external signal of quality available in business education. For a Kazakh applicant intending international trade, that combination matters. Kazakhstan's trade with China is substantial and growing, and a degree from the Chinese institution most closely tied to the Ministry of Commerce has direct application at home. The university has more English-taught provision than most Chinese public universities, which may open it to an applicant without HSK.
