Sino-foreign cooperative university
A partnership between Xi'an Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool
Нет данных
Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University was founded in Suzhou in 2006 through a partnership between Xi'an Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool, and is the largest of the Sino-foreign cooperative universities by programme range. It is also among the cheapest of the major joint ventures, at a reported CNY 93,000 a year against CNY 105,000 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Shenzhen and CNY 120,000 at Nottingham Ningbo. That still places it four to five times above a Chinese public university, where Chinese-taught programmes run CNY 20,000 to CNY 26,000. The joint ventures are a different market, not a discount on the Chinese one. One naming point: Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is in Suzhou, not Xi'an, despite the name. Xi'an Jiaotong University is the separate parent institution roughly 1,300 kilometres away, and both appear in the same searches.
