Keele University

Keele is a public research university on a large rural campus near Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire, founded in 1949. It teaches medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, nursing, business, law and the sciences. Its international fees for 2026/27 run from GBP 17,100 to GBP 29,800 by band, with medicine, veterinary medicine and the nursing top-up priced outside that structure. Keele also caps what it can add later, stating that any 2026/27 increase 'shall not exceed a maximum of 5%'. The deposit is published, which is unusual and useful. The standard overseas deposit is GBP 4,000, due by 29 August 2026 for a Kazakh applicant. Keele sets a higher deposit of GBP 8,000 for nationals of Pakistan and an earlier date for five named countries; Kazakhstan is on neither list, so the lower figure and the later date apply. The single rural campus is Keele's defining feature: accommodation, teaching and social life sit together rather than dispersed across a city, which suits a student arriving alone but puts a thin local labour market some distance from any large one.
