Public research university
A member institution of the University of London
£25 500 (2026/27)
Queen Mary is a public research university in east London and a member institution of the University of London. Its School of Economics and Finance publishes Kazakh-specific requirements setting out three routes. The attestat alone is not enough: 'The Attestat/Svidetel'stvo o Srednem Obrazovanii (Certificate of Completed Secondary Education) alone is normally not sufficient for entry onto an undergraduate SEF course.' Accepted instead are the Diploma of Specialised Secondary Education at 'a minimum of 4/5 overall in a related discipline, including 4/5 in Mathematics', with good marks in the attestat as well, and the NIS route: 'Kazakh NIS Grade 12 Cert with overall average of A.' On cost, Queen Mary publishes an unusually explicit ceiling on fee increases: 'The inflationary increase for international university fees in 2026-27 will be no more than 10%.' A cap is better than an open-ended increase, but 10% a year compounding over three years is roughly a third more by the final year, so that is the figure to plan against rather than the first-year one. Its International Foundation Year is GBP 25,500 for 2026-27.
