The Royal Academy of Music was founded in 1822 and is the oldest conservatoire in Britain, teaching performance, composition, conducting and musical theatre. It is a member institution of the University of London and awards its own degrees. Its undergraduate degree is a four-year BMus, which is a year longer than an English university degree and adds a year of fees, a year of living costs and roughly GBP 776 more in Immigration Health Surcharge. The Academy does not publish an overseas undergraduate fee in a form that can be quoted here, which is unusual among the conservatoires: the Royal College of Music publishes GBP 31,300, the Royal Northern College of Music GBP 30,700, Trinity Laban GBP 27,100 for music and Guildhall GBP 23,120. The figure should be requested from the Academy's own BMus finance guide rather than taken from a course aggregator, since aggregator figures for this institution vary by more than GBP 8,000. The audition decides admission. How it can be taken from Kazakhstan is the first question.
