Cambridge is a collegiate research university founded in 1209, teaching across more than 30 undergraduate Triposes through 31 constituent colleges. Its position on the attestat is blunt, and it is stated on Cambridge's own Kazakhstan page: 'Applicants with the Attestat/Svidetel'stvo o Srednem Obrazovanii alone will not be competitive and are unlikely to be successful.' Cambridge names two routes that do work: five or more Advanced Placement tests at score 5 alongside a full set of 5s in the attestat, or the NIS Grade 12 Certificate assessed against A-level offer levels. Two cost points need planning for. International tuition runs from GBP 29,052 for humanities subjects to GBP 70,554 for clinical medicine, and on top of that sits a compulsory annual college fee of GBP 11,500 to 14,950, which is easy to miss and is not optional. Fees are fixed for the duration of the course.
