University of Lancashire

The University of Lancashire is a large public university in Preston, with roots going back to 1828. It renamed from the University of Central Lancashire in 2025 and is still widely known as UCLan — older prospectuses, agent listings and its uclan.ac.uk web address all refer to the same institution. Preston sits in Lancashire, where living costs are among the lowest in England.
