University of Exeter

The University of Exeter is a public research university in the south-west of England, and it publishes one of the more precise statements in Britain about how a Kazakh certificate is read. On the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools certificate, Exeter says the qualification overall is 'comparable to the overall A Level standard, with Mathematics and the student's two Advanced level electives comparable to A Level on a subject-for-subject basis'. That sentence has a consequence most students meet too late. The two Advanced electives are the subjects being mapped, so a student choosing electives in Year 11 is choosing which Exeter degrees they can later meet the requirements for.
