Glasgow is in Scotland, so its standard undergraduate degree runs four years rather than three, which is roughly a third more in total tuition than an English university at the same annual fee, plus a fourth year of living costs and additional Immigration Health Surcharge. Glasgow does not accept Kazakh national qualifications at all. Its Kazakhstan page states: 'Country qualifications not accepted, A-levels, IB, Glasgow International College or other accepted qualification required.' The attestat is not a route here, with or without good grades. Glasgow does publish a full NIS grade table, and it is generous at the top end: • A*AA offer → three Higher Level subjects at AAA • AAA → AAA · AAB → AAB · ABB → ABB · BBB → BBB Note the first line: an A*AA course can be met with AAA at NIS. Like Edinburgh, which treats an NIS A as equivalent to A*, Glasgow discounts the A* requirement for NIS applicants, which is an advantage A-level candidates do not have. The table also runs down to BBB, matching Loughborough's floor. Glasgow has direct institutional links in Kazakhstan: it is 'an established partner of the Kazakh Institute of Management, Economics & Strategic Research (KIMEP) in Almaty and the Academy of Public Administration in Astana.'
