University of Southampton

The University of Southampton is a public research university on the south coast of England. Its Kazakhstan page is one of the more complete in Britain, because it lists the routes rather than describing them. For undergraduate entry Southampton names an attestat with 'successful completion of a recognised foundation programme', at least one completed year of university study in Kazakhstan, a Specialist Diploma awarded after 1991, A-levels at BBB to A*AA, the International Baccalaureate at 28 to 38 points, or the Nazarbayev Intellectual School Grade 12 Certificate. The one-year university route is the one worth noticing. Britain has no single answer on it — some universities require two completed years — so a student who has already started a degree at home is in a materially stronger position at Southampton than at those institutions.
