Warwick publishes an unusually detailed NIS Grade 12 equivalence table: a full mapping from A-level offers to NIS grades, which lets a Kazakh applicant read a course page and know their exact target. Warwick states that 'we can consider the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools' Grade 12 Certificate', and publishes the mapping. An A*A*A offer requires 'NIS Grade 12 Certificate with grades A*A*A in two Advanced Elective subjects and Advanced Mathematics', and A*AA, AAA, AAB and ABB follow the same structure at their respective grades. Note the composition: two Advanced Electives plus Advanced Mathematics. Advanced Mathematics is effectively compulsory in the calculation, so an NIS student who did not take it at Advanced level may not be able to use this route. For everyone else Warwick's bar is higher than most: 'For students not taking the NIS Grade 12 certificate, we would require either Warwick International Foundation Programme or, alternatively, two years of a Bachelors degree from a local recognised university, IB, A Levels, or other European or North American systems.' That is two years of local university study, where several UK universities accept one.
