Bowling Green State University

BGSU is a public research university in Bowling Green, Ohio, about 15 miles south of Toledo, with a main campus of 1,338 acres and a regional Firelands campus in Huron. Its defining financial feature is a genuine four-year price lock: 'The BGSU Falcon Tuition Guarantee locks in the cost for four academic years for each incoming undergraduate class.' Merit consideration is automatic — new international students qualify for the BG Success Scholarship and other awards on academic standing and test scores, with no additional application. Two international-only charges must be budgeted: a nonrefundable, nonnegotiable services fee assessed every autumn and spring to all nonimmigrant students 'even if you don't use these services', and a separate one-off orientation fee for each new international student. Both are charged automatically to the bursar account.
