Brooklyn College

Brooklyn College is a CUNY college on a 35-acre campus in Brooklyn, founded in 1930 as New York City's first public coeducational liberal arts college, serving roughly 14,000 to 18,000 students from more than 100 countries. It offers 76 undergraduate programmes with recognised strength in business, computer science, psychology, film and education, and reports employers including JPMorgan Chase, PwC, KPMG, Bloomberg and NYU Langone. It accepts four English tests including Duolingo — the widest list among the CUNY colleges here. A significant caution applies to funding: one secondary source states plainly that Brooklyn College does not provide scholarships to international students, while another describes international students as eligible for grants, scholarships and work-study. Those two claims are irreconcilable and the position must be established directly before any applicant relies on it.
