Colby College

Colby is a liberal arts college in Waterville, Maine, and it makes an unusually strong need-based commitment to international students: it states plainly that it meets 100 percent of demonstrated need for all admitted students, including international students, with packages built from grants and employment rather than loans. Its published 2026-27 cost is USD 75,790 tuition and fees plus USD 19,480 food and housing, and it regionalises the travel allowance, which for an international student covers flights home. Colby is test-optional, accepts self-reported English scores, superscores the TOEFL and accepts MyBest. One rule deserves attention before applying: a student who does not complete an aid application before admission will not be considered for Colby grant assistance for two award years.
