Johnson & Wales is a private university specialising in culinary arts, hospitality and business, with campuses including Providence, Rhode Island. One JWU award is explicitly open to international students and is worth a Kazakh applicant's attention: 'For Fall 2027, incoming undergraduate first-year students (domestic and international) who visit a JWU campus prior to December 1 of their senior year of high school are eligible for a renewable scholarship.' That is one of very few campus-visit scholarships to name international students explicitly, though it requires travelling to a JWU campus before 1 December of the final school year, which for a Kazakh applicant means a costly trip well ahead of any offer.
