Mercer University

Mercer is Georgia's oldest private university, founded in 1833, with its main campus in Macon and further campuses in Atlanta, Savannah and Columbus. It offers more than 130 academic programmes across 12 schools and colleges. For a Kazakh applicant its appeal is the combination of clearly published English minimums, acceptance of self-reported scores at application, and a merit position stated directly on its own page: international students are eligible for merit-based scholarships, and initial awards for first-year students typically run from USD 18,000 to USD 25,000 a year, renewable for up to four years. Mercer states plainly that international students are not eligible for state or federal aid, so merit is the route. Test-optional international applicants must complete an interview with their admissions counsellor.
