Missouri University of Science and Technology

Missouri S&T is a public research university at Rolla specialising in engineering, computing and the sciences, offering more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programmes. Its international scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters, but it carries the clearest exclusion of sponsored students recorded anywhere, stated in one line: 'Students sponsored by a company or government are not eligible for this scholarship.' A Bolashak scholar is excluded outright. Missouri S&T also states that 'generally, students must be on an F1 visa in order to be eligible', that the award 'cannot be used in combination with any other automatic merit scholarship', and that it 'may be reduced if another institutional or athletic fund is paying out-of-state tuition'. Applicants not meeting regular criteria may appeal to an Admissions Appeal Committee.
