Queens College

Queens College is a CUNY college in Flushing, Queens, one of the most linguistically diverse places in the United States, and it offers an unusually complete English-language pathway. A Kazakh applicant with no English test score at all can enrol full-time in its English Language Institute and receive an I-20. One who meets every academic standard except language can be provisionally admitted to the college, attend the English Language Institute first, and matriculate into a degree programme after meeting progression standards. That two-tier structure contrasts sharply with Hunter, which offers no conditional admission whatsoever. As a CUNY college Queens charges F-1 students the New York State non-resident rate, which CUNY's tuition manual confirms is consistent across all its colleges.
