Samford University

Samford is a Christian university in Birmingham, Alabama, established in 1841 and among the oldest institutions in the state, with roughly 5,700 students drawn from about 28 to 30 countries and an average undergraduate class size of 18. Two things stand out for a Kazakh applicant. Samford's application fee is USD 35, which is unusually low against the USD 50 to USD 75 charged elsewhere, though Trinity, Rollins, Loyola Chicago, Dayton and Drake charge nothing. And its English thresholds are published as recommended scores for favourable admission rather than as hard minimums, which leaves room for a strong overall application.
