Private Catholic research university
$53 840 (2026/27)
Seton Hall is the oldest diocesan Catholic university in the United States, on a 58-acre campus in South Orange about twenty minutes from Manhattan. Its distinctive asset for a Kazakh applicant interested in international affairs is the School of Diplomacy and International Relations, the only school in the country in exclusive alliance with the United Nations Association of the USA and the UN Foundation, which also runs a four-year Law and Diplomacy programme with Seton Hall Law. Two practical points matter. Seton Hall charges international students an International Student Fee of USD 260 per semester on top of tuition, which no other university recorded does. And it requires a NACES credential evaluation, routed through a discounted partnership with The Evaluation Company — an application without one is treated as incomplete and will not be reviewed at all. Seton Hall's published position is that international students may be considered for merit-based scholarships.
