University of Central Florida

UCF is a large public research university in Orlando and among the biggest in the United States by enrolment, home to over 3,400 international students from 137 countries. Its application fee is USD 31, which is very low, and it publishes six alternative routes to satisfying the English requirement, including an SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 520 or an ACT English score of 20, so one admissions test can serve both purposes. UCF is materially more selective for international applicants than its headline figure suggests: its overall acceptance rate is around 42-44%, but the international rate is reported at 19-24%, with its 2025-26 Common Data Set giving 24%. Two requirements distinguish UCF procedurally: international students must declare a major for admission, with some programmes limited-access and requiring an additional application; and an Immunization Form is mandatory before enrolment, though it plays no part in the admission decision.
