University of Montana

The University of Montana is a public research university at Missoula. Its international award is automatic and universal among fully admitted undergraduates: 'All undergraduate international students who are fully admitted to UM's bachelor's degree programs will be automatically considered for the University of Montana Academic Achievement Scholarship (UMAAS) as non-resident students. No additional application is required.' UM adds that it 'offers a number of scholarships that are open to international student applicants pursuing full-time degree study'. Its published cost figures are unusually well qualified. UM notes that living expenses reflect 'the cost of living in the residence halls with a double occupancy dorm room and meal plan' and explicitly 'does not include other indirect costs such as visa application and SEVIS fees, transportation, or incidentals', costs a Kazakh family must add separately.
