University of Wyoming

The University of Wyoming is the state's only four-year university and holds Carnegie R1 status. Its application fee is USD 40, among the lowest recorded, and UW markets it as such: 'Submitting your application is simple with a low USD 40 non-refundable fee.' Its international award is the International Brown and Gold Commitment, but one restriction shapes everything: 'The Brown and Gold Commitment normally cannot be combined with any additional institutional scholarship aid, including those made possible by the UW Foundation.' UW also warns that 'all University of Wyoming financial awards are only available to eligible admits. The awards are subject to available funding and the approval of the UW Board of Trustees; they reserve the right to change said rates at any time.' UW operates a block tuition model rather than per-credit charging.
