1. General provisions

1.1. This Subscription and Refund Policy (the "Subscription Policy") sets out the terms on which a paid Premium subscription is taken out, paid for, renewed and cancelled on the Edline online education platform at myedline.com (the "Platform"), and the refund procedure.

1.2. The Platform is owned by ИП «QG Consulting» (Баймагамбетова Эльмира), 124 Aimanov Street, office 507, Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan (the "Provider").

1.3. This Subscription Policy forms an integral part of the Public Offer and the Platform's User Agreement. In the event of any conflict between this Subscription Policy and the Public Offer, the terms of the Public Offer prevail.

1.4. By taking out a Premium subscription, the User confirms that they have read this Subscription Policy and agree to its terms.

2. Types of access to the Platform

2.1. Free access (Basic)

All registered Users receive free access to the Platform's basic functionality. Free access includes a limited set of functions and requires no payment.

2.2. Paid subscription (Premium)

A Premium subscription gives access to the Platform's extended functionality, including additional analytical data, tools, educational materials and other functions available under the subscription at the time it is taken out.

2.3. The specific list of functions available under Basic access and under a Premium subscription is set out on the relevant pages of the Platform and may be changed by the Provider.

3. Price of the Premium subscription

3.1. The Premium subscription is offered on the following tariff plans:

3.2. All prices are stated in tenge (KZT) and include all applicable taxes.

3.3. The Provider reserves the right to change the price of the Premium subscription. Where the price changes:

  • Users with an active subscription keep the current price until the end of the paid Billing period;
  • the new price applies to new subscriptions and to new Billing periods on automatic renewal;

the Provider notifies Users of a price change at least 14 calendar days before the start of the new Billing period.

The price of the Premium subscription: the 1-month tariff plan — 9,990 KZT; 4 months — 29,990 KZT; 6 months — 41,990 KZT; 12 months — 79,990 KZT.

When a subscription is taken out, the User may be granted a trial period of 7 calendar days. The trial period is granted once per account. Where payment is made by linking a bank card, the first charge is made at the end of the trial period in the amount of the selected tariff plan, unless the User has cancelled the subscription before then. The date and amount of the first charge are communicated to the User before the card is linked, and again by email at least 14 calendar days before the charge.

4. Payment procedure

4.1. The Premium subscription is paid for through the Paylink internet acquiring system (paylink.kz) using Visa and Mastercard bank cards.

4.2. The Provider does not collect or store Users' bank card data. All payment data is processed exclusively by the payment provider Paylink in accordance with its privacy policy and the payment card industry security standards (PCI DSS).

4.3. The date of payment is the date the funds are credited to the Provider's settlement account.

4.4. Access to Premium subscription functionality is granted within 24 hours of receipt of payment confirmation from the payment provider.

4.5. If a payment is unsuccessful (insufficient funds, refusal by the bank, technical failure), the Premium subscription is not activated. The User may try again.

Payment is made by one of the following methods at the User's choice: (a) by an invoice issued through the Kaspi service (by telephone number or by QR code) — with this method each payment is made by the User themselves for the relevant billing period, and no automatic charging applies; (b) by linking a bank card through the PayLink.kz payment service — with this method the subscription renews automatically. Payments are accepted and processed exclusively by those third parties. The Provider is not a payment organisation or payment agent, does not accept payments, and does not receive, process or store Users' payment data, including bank card numbers, expiry dates and CVV/CVC codes. The payment relationship arises between the User and the relevant payment service and is governed by its terms. The Provider is not liable for technical failures, delays or refusals in processing a payment on the part of payment services or issuing banks. This paragraph does not limit the Provider's obligation to supply the services paid for.

Automatic renewal applies only where payment is made by a linked bank card, and does not apply to payment through the Kaspi service.

5. Information provided before payment

5.1. In accordance with the requirements of the consumer protection legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the following information is provided to the User before payment for the Premium subscription is made:

  • the full price of the subscription for the selected Billing period;
  • information that the subscription renews automatically;
  • the date of the first and subsequent charges;
  • how to cancel the subscription and stop automatic charges;
  • the refund terms;

the name and details of the Provider.

5.2. This information is displayed on the subscription page before payment is made.

5.3. By making payment, the User confirms that they have read that information and the terms of this Subscription Policy and of the Public Offer.

A User's enquiry is considered by the Provider within 10 calendar days of receipt. Following consideration, the User is sent a reasoned written response setting out the basis for the decision taken and, where a refund is made, how the refund amount was calculated.

6. Automatic renewal of the subscription

6.1. All Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each paid Billing period for a further period corresponding to the tariff plan selected, unless the User cancels the subscription before the date of the next charge.

6.2. The charge for the next Billing period is made automatically to the bank card linked to the subscription.

6.3. By taking out a Premium subscription, the User consents to:

  • automatic renewal of the subscription;

funds being charged automatically in the amount of the subscription price in force at the time of renewal.

6.4. The Provider sends the User a notice of the forthcoming automatic charge at least 3 (three) calendar days before the charge date, to the email address given on registration. The notice contains:

  • the date of the forthcoming charge;
  • the amount of the charge;

instructions for cancelling the subscription (if the User does not wish to renew).

6.5. If a charge on automatic renewal is unsuccessful (insufficient funds, expired card, refusal by the bank), the Provider may make up to 3 further attempts to charge within 7 calendar days. If none of the attempts succeeds, the Premium subscription terminates and the User's account reverts to Basic access.

7. Cancelling the subscription

7.1. The User may cancel the Premium subscription at any time through the account settings on the Platform (the "Subscription" section or equivalent).

7.2. On cancellation of the subscription:

  • access to Premium subscription functionality continues until the end of the current paid Billing period;
  • automatic renewal and further charges cease;
  • at the end of the paid period the account reverts to Basic access;

all of the User's data (notes, essays, tasks, university lists) is kept in the account and remains available under Basic access.

7.3. Cancelling the subscription is not in itself a ground for an automatic refund for the current paid Billing period.

7.4. For minor Users (aged 14–17): the legal representative may cancel the subscription by sending a notice to info@myedline.com. In that case the unused part of the subscription price is refundable in proportion to the remaining term.

8. Refunds

8.1. The User may request a refund of the amounts paid as follows:

  • (a) within 14 calendar days of the first charge under the subscription — a full refund;
  • (b) within 3 calendar days of each subsequent automatic charge — a full refund for the relevant billing period;
  • (c) after the periods stated in sub-paragraphs (a) and (b), on the 4-, 6- and 12-month tariff plans — a refund of the price of the unused whole months of the subscription.

8.2. The periods stated in paragraph 8.1 run from the date the User sends the request, not from the date the Provider considers it.

8.3. How a refund under sub-paragraph (c) is calculated. The discount given for a longer subscription period is not preserved on early termination. Months used are recalculated at the price of the monthly tariff plan — 9,990 KZT for each month begun. The amount refundable is the difference between the sum paid and the price of the months used. If that difference is zero or negative, no refund is made.

Example. A User paid for the 12-month tariff plan and requested a refund in the third month of the subscription. Three months count as used: 9,990 KZT × 3 = 29,970 ₸. The amount refundable is 79,990 ₸ − 29,970 ₸ = 50,020 ₸.

8.4. A refund request is sent to info@myedline.com. The Provider considers the request and sends the User a reasoned written response within 10 calendar days of receipt. Where the decision is positive, the funds are transferred within 14 working days. The time taken for the funds to be credited is determined by the issuing bank and is outside the Provider's control.

8.5. The User's right to withdraw from a contract for the provision of services for a fee, provided for by Article 686 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, applies irrespective of the provisions of this section.

9. Subscriptions for minors

9.1. Users aged between 14 and 18 may take out a Premium subscription only with the consent of a legal representative (parent, adoptive parent or custodian), in accordance with Articles 22–23 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

9.2. The legal representative's consent to a paid subscription being taken out is confirmed by ticking the relevant checkbox at the point the subscription is taken out.

9.3. The legal representative of a minor User is entitled to:

  • cancel the subscription at any time by sending a notice to info@myedline.com;
  • request a refund of the unused part of the subscription price in proportion to the remaining term;

withdraw consent to the contract.

9.4. On withdrawal of the legal representative's consent the subscription is cancelled and the unused part of the price is refundable in the manner set out in section 8 of this Policy.

10. Changes to tariff plans and functionality

10.1. The Provider is entitled to:

  • change the price of existing tariff plans;
  • introduce new tariff plans and subscription levels;
  • change the list of functions available under a Premium subscription;

discontinue individual tariff plans.

10.2. The Provider notifies Users of any change affecting the price or material functions of the subscription at least 14 calendar days before the change takes effect.

10.3. If the User does not agree with the changes, they may cancel the subscription before the changes take effect. The unused part of the subscription price is not refundable, except where the Premium functionality is materially reduced.

11. Termination of the subscription

11.1. A Premium subscription terminates in the following cases:

  • cancellation by the User (access is retained until the end of the paid period);
  • an unsuccessful charge on automatic renewal after the attempts have been exhausted;
  • blocking or deletion of the User's account;
  • withdrawal of the consent of a minor User's legal representative;

cessation of the Platform's operation.

11.2. On termination of the subscription:

  • User content (notes, essays, tasks, university lists) is kept in the account and remains available under Basic access;

access to functions available only under a Premium subscription ceases.

11.3. Where an account is blocked for breach of the User Agreement or of the Public Offer, no refund is made for the remaining subscription period.

12. Governing law

12.1. This Subscription Policy is governed by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

12.2. Matters not regulated by this Policy are governed by the Public Offer, the User Agreement and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

13. Languages of this Policy

13.1. This Subscription Policy is available in Russian, Kazakh and English.

13.2. In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions, the Russian version prevails.

14. Changes to the Subscription Policy

14.1. The Provider may make changes to this Subscription Policy.

14.2. An updated version takes effect from the moment it is published on the Platform.

14.3. The Provider notifies Users of material changes (changes to the refund terms or to the automatic renewal procedure) at least 14 calendar days in advance.
