Coventry University

Coventry is a large modern university in the English Midlands with one of the highest international student proportions in the country, and an unusually distributed structure that needs unpicking before applying. Two questions come first. Which campus — Coventry teaches in London as well as the Midlands, and the London maintenance requirement is GBP 3,222 a year higher, with real costs higher again. And which institution — CU Coventry, CU London and CU Scarborough are associate colleges within the Coventry University Group rather than the university itself. The degree awarded, the fee and the student experience may all differ, so an offer needs reading carefully to see which body is making it. Against that complexity, scale is an advantage. A university with a very large international intake is more likely to have assessed Kazakh qualifications before, to have processes for them, and to run scholarship schemes aimed at overseas students.
