Robert Gordon publishes a Kazakhstan page and one of the clearest, most reachable English requirements in Britain — IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each area for most undergraduate courses, barely above the visa floor and well below what the older Scottish universities ask. It is also explicit about its visa role in a way few universities are: it is 'a licensed student sponsor and has a dedicated immigration team to help you throughout the process of getting your CAS for your visa application'. That matters practically — a licensed sponsor may be able to assess English itself and confirm it on the CAS, in which case an ordinary academic IELTS suffices and no Secure English Language Test is needed. It is worth asking whether Robert Gordon exercises that. Admissions are flexible at the margin too: 'applicants with lower qualification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis'.
