The University of East London is a public university with campuses at Docklands and Stratford in east London, teaching business, computing, engineering, health, psychology, sport and the creative industries. Its 2026/27 international undergraduate fee is GBP 16,020, which is low for a London institution and below several universities outside London. Scholarships of GBP 500 to GBP 5,000 come off the first year, assessed automatically at offer, and paying in full before mid-September takes a further 5% off. East London also has among the lowest living costs of any London institution, and that matters more than it first appears. The Home Office maintenance requirement is the same GBP 13,761 across the whole city, so a student in the Royal Docks evidences exactly what a student in Kensington evidences while spending considerably less. Here the visa floor is likely to exceed real spending — the reverse of the position at a central London university. The Docklands campus sits beside the water in the Royal Docks, next to London City Airport, with Stratford near the Olympic Park.
