The University of Leeds is a large public research university in the north of England. Its published position on Kazakh qualifications, set out by Leeds University Business School, distinguishes sharply between the two certificates. Of the attestat it says that 'for entry onto our degree courses applicants are required to take an International Foundation Year course such as the Leeds Foundation Year, the International Baccalaureate Diploma or A levels'. Of the other it says that 'the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools (NIS) Grade 12 is acceptable in place of A levels', at 'grades of AAA or AAB (depending on the chosen course), with a minimum of grade C in Mathematics'. The requirements quoted here are the Business School's own. Another faculty may set different grades, so the intended School should be asked directly.
