The University of Worcester is a public university in the West Midlands, known for teacher education, nursing and allied health, sport and business. It also runs an MBChB through the Three Counties Medical School — but that is a four-year graduate-entry programme requiring a first or upper second class degree already in hand, so it is not a route from school. A Kazakh school leaver intending medicine should look elsewhere. Worcester publishes more of its discount structure than most universities of its size, and one condition is unusual enough to change how a family applies. Its family and sibling discount gives 15% of tuition to the sibling, spouse or child of a current student or graduate — but only to applicants who apply without an agent. A Kazakh family working through an agency would forfeit it, and 15% of a typical fee is worth more than most agency services. A GBP 500 early payment discount is available to international students who pay their full tuition by 30 September for a September start, or 31 January for a January start. The January intake matters on its own: it gives an applicant whose visa runs late an alternative to losing a full year. Worcester states that applications are considered case by case, and that qualifications such as work experience may be weighed alongside academic ones.
