Beloit College

Beloit is a liberal arts college in Wisconsin offering only undergraduate degrees. It is unusually explicit about how it treats international applicants financially, and the honesty is worth reading carefully. Beloit practises a NEED-AWARE admission policy and states that 'need-based aid does become more competitive as an applicant's demonstrated financial need increases.' Merit scholarships reach up to USD 45,000 a year and every applicant is automatically considered. A limited number of full-tuition scholarships are awarded annually on a very competitive basis combining need and merit, with the admissions committee selecting who may apply — but Beloit states plainly it does NOT offer full-ride scholarships covering all costs. Its international financial aid application is FREE, and a USD 1,000 Campus Visit Grant is available to admitted students who visit.
