Binghamton University

Binghamton is a public research university in New York's Southern Tier, established in 1946 and one of the SUNY system's four university centres. It enrols roughly 18,800 students, of whom about 13% — some 2,591 — are international, across more than 130 undergraduate programmes. It is among the more selective SUNY campuses, with a reported acceptance rate near 40%. As a public university it charges international students the out-of-state rate, reported near USD 31,500 in tuition and fees against about USD 10,800 for New York residents, with a total cost of attendance around USD 51,300. Merit consideration is reported to be automatic for all international undergraduate applicants with no separate scholarship application, but the award levels in circulation conflict sharply and must be verified.
