Florida State University

Florida State is a public research university in Tallahassee. Its funding for international students works through out-of-state tuition waivers rather than cash awards, and consideration is automatic: FSU states that 'admitted international freshman are automatically considered for our out-of-state tuition waiver scholarship', with students 'notified of a scholarship offer at the time their admission decision is made available on the Admissions Portal'. Two limits are stated plainly: 'The waiver amount is only applied toward tuition and does not include other fees, nor does it apply toward study-abroad programs', and FSU 'does not send notification to students who did not receive one of our merit-based scholarships', so silence is the answer. FSU also states it 'typically does not engage in scholarship matching'. Applicants are encouraged to apply by 1 December.
