Illinois Wesleyan is a liberal arts university in Bloomington offering undergraduate degrees exclusively — it runs no master's or graduate programmes at all, which means teaching resources are directed entirely at undergraduates. For an international applicant it combines a free application with an unusually complete funding structure: merit scholarships of USD 15,000 to USD 38,000 a year renewable for up to four years and awarded automatically, plus the option to submit the CSS Profile for additional need-based support, plus university-funded loans and campus employment. Two full-tuition routes exist: the President's International Student Scholarship and the Davis United World College Scholars Program. Applications are decided quickly. Early Action applicants hear by 15 December and Regular Decision applicants roughly two weeks after their file is complete.
