Loyola University Maryland

Loyola Maryland is a Jesuit university in Baltimore with more than 50 undergraduate programmes across three colleges, best known for its undergraduate business offering. Two things distinguish it financially. First, its billing is unusually clean: Loyola bills only direct charges — tuition, on-campus housing and food plans — and states that it does not levy the separate orientation, transcript and graduation fees common elsewhere, which it estimates can reach USD 10,000 over four years at other institutions. Against the fee stacking seen at Sacred Heart and Simmons, that is a real difference. Second, its position on aid is unambiguous where most universities are vague: international students cannot apply for financial aid but are eligible for merit scholarships. There is no provisional acceptance route and English minimums are hard floors. Loyola also publishes a current list of nationalities barred from obtaining US student visas — Kazakhstan is not among them.
